Using Homerun for your job posts and want them listed on your WordPress careers page? You can embed a live list of your active openings on any page of your site. Once it's in place, the list updates automatically: new jobs appear as soon as you publish them in Homerun, and closed jobs disappear.
Setting it up takes about 10 minutes and doesn't require any coding knowledge.
⚠️ Before you start: You’ll need an Administrator account on your WordPress site. Other roles, and on multisite networks, anyone other than a Super Admin, may not be allowed to save embed code. WordPress will remove it silently without warning.
Step 1: Copy your embed code from Homerun
From anywhere in Homerun, click Settings in the sidebar.
On the left, scroll down to Customize and click Embed jobs.
Adjust the layout to match your website. You can change the color and font of the job titles, turn compact view on or off, and group your jobs by location, by type, or not at all.
When you’re happy with the preview, click Copy in the right sidebar.
Step 2: Add the code to your WordPress page
In WordPress, open the page where you want your jobs to appear — such as your Careers page — or create a new one under Pages → Add New. Then follow the steps for the editor your site uses.
Block editor (the WordPress default)
Click the + button where you want the job list to appear.
Search for Custom HTML and add the block. You can also type
/htmlon an empty line and press Enter.Paste your embed code into the block.
Click Preview to check the result, then click Update or Publish.
Classic editor
At the top of the editor, switch from the Visual tab to the Text tab.
Paste your embed code where you want the job list to appear.
Click Update or Publish. Don’t switch back to the Visual tab before saving, as this can change the code.
Elementor
Open the page in Elementor.
Find the HTML widget under Basic in the left sidebar, or search for it.
Drag the widget to the spot where you want your jobs to appear.
Paste your embed code into the HTML Code field.
Click Publish in the bottom-left corner.
Divi
Open the page in the Divi Builder.
Add a Code module where you want your jobs to appear.
Paste your embed code into the module and save the page.
Other page builders
Most page builders, including WPBakery, Beaver Builder, and Bricks, have an element called “HTML,” “Code,” or “Raw HTML.” Add that element to your page and paste the embed code into it.
Step 3: Check your page
Open your live page in a private or incognito browser window. You should see your active Homerun jobs, styled the way you set them up.
Good to know
Layout changes update automatically. If you change the colors, font, or layout under Embed jobs in Homerun, your WordPress page will update on its own. You don’t need to copy and paste the code again.
Want more control over the design? You can add your own CSS to make the job list match your website even more closely. In WordPress, go to Appearance → Customize → Additional CSS, or Appearance → Editor → Styles if you use a block theme. You, or a colleague, will need some HTML and CSS knowledge for this.
Troubleshooting
I see the code as text on my page instead of a job list.
The code was pasted into a regular text or paragraph block. Delete it and paste the code into a Custom HTML block (or your page builder’s HTML element) instead.
The job list disappeared after saving, or the code is gone when I reopen the page.
WordPress removes embed code when it’s saved by a user who isn’t allowed to add it. Ask an Administrator on your site to paste the code and save the page.
My site is on WordPress.com and the code gets removed.
WordPress.com only allows this type of embed code on its higher-tier plans that support plugins. Check which plan you’re on, or ask WordPress.com support whether your plan allows custom code.
My new jobs aren’t showing up.
If your site uses a caching plugin (such as WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, or LiteSpeed Cache) or a CDN, clear the cache and reload the page.
