As you're working with personal information within Homerun, it’s important to handle this information with care. Homerun is the data-processor of this information. Should we need to notify your company with regards to any of that personal information (this includes protection of candidate data, as well as your own, or company data you shared with Homerun) in Homerun, we need to be able to reach the right person within your company. This is why we ask you to provide a Privacy Contact within your Homerun account.

A Privacy Contact is a contact within your company that will be notified with regards to personal data protection. As stated in our DPA (Data Processing Addendum), Homerun will send any relevant information regarding the processing of the personal data directly to this email address. It is your company’s responsibility to ensure that the email address of the Privacy Contact is up-to-date and monitored at all times.

How do I add or change a privacy contact?

You can add or change a Privacy Contact on the Privacy page in Homerun.

  1. From anywhere ini the tool, click Settings in the sidebar

  2. At the left, scroll down a bit and click Privacy

  3. Add or change the information at ‘Privacy contact’ at the top of the page and click Save.

Who is the Privacy contact for my company?

If your company has a Data Protection Officer (DPO), you can provide their email address. We recommend using a generic address (e.g. privacy@yourcompany.com) that is read by multiple people that are responsible for privacy and security within your company.
