How do I change the name/title and URL of a job post?

If you'd like to change the title of your job post, there are a few options. First, there's the title (heading 1) in the job post, the page visible to candidates, which you can change in the Editor. Second, there's the URL (slug) of the job post (often similar to the title). Third, there's the title of the job opening, visible in your Homerun dashboard. Lastly, you can change the SEO information - including a title - of every job post.

Change the title of your job post in the editor

  1. On your dashboard, look up the job opening you want to edit and click 'editor' in the options.
  2. Change the name of your job post in the text and click ‘Save’.

Change the job’s title in the settings

To change the title of the job post, follow these steps:

  1. On your dashboard, look up the job opening you want to edit and click 'Settings' in the options.
  2. A pop-up appears. Change the job title.
  3. Click ‘Save’.

You can change the URL of your job post. For example: company.homerun.co/senior-project-manager can be changed into company.homerun.co/pm. Here's how:

Change the URL (slug) in the settings

  1. On your dashboard, look up the job opening you want to edit and click 'Settings' in the options.
  2. A pop-up appears. Change the URL by editing the field at the bottom.
  3. Click ‘Save’.

The URL is now changed. And don't worry, the old URL will still work and is redirected to your pretty, new URL.

To complete this process, you can also adjust the Search Engine Optimization, this is the information that shows in Google.

Change the SEO information

  1. On your dashboard, look up the job opening you want to edit and click 'Promote' in the options.
  2. Change the SEO title and meta description.
  3. Click ‘Save’.
