You can generate an XML feed holding all the info Indeed needs to add your jobs to their database which will allow them to automatically place your jobs. To set up the integration with Indeed, you can copy the XML feed link and share it with Indeed. For more information about Indeed, check out their website.

What is an XML feed?

An XML feed presents the data of all the jobs in your account as a structured dataset. This feed can be used by job boards or other tools to quickly read and add the correct data to their database. It mainly holds all the text and data related to a job (title, description, location, URL, etc).

Which fields are required for my job posts to be ingested by Indeed?

  • job title

  • job description

  • job type (e.g. full- or part-time

  • salary, if this is included in the job post or career page. If not, you can leave this blank.

  • location

    • city

    • province

    • country

    • postal code

    • street address

โ—๏ธImportant note 1: Indeed requires a minimum of three jobs to be live in order to process the XML feed. If fewer than three jobs are active, the feed will not be processed.

โ—๏ธImportant note 2: for Indeed to be able to ingest all your information, be sure to use a plain text block to indicate for example: perks, 'about us', 'about the job' and other important information about the role. Do not use a tools, image, or other blocks that contain images. Indeed will not be able to scan these.

Generating an XML feed for Indeed

  1. Via the sidebar on the left, click 'Settings'.

  2. At the left, scroll down and click 'Integrations', displayed under 'Customize'.

  3. Scroll down a bit and click 'Indeed'.

  4. Add the email address you use to login to your Indeed account.

  5. Click 'Copy feed link'. That's it, you've copied the feed link which you can share with your contact at Indeed.

How do I share the XML feed with Indeed?

After you've copied the XML feed link, you can share the link with Indeed, since they will set up the XML integration for you. If you don't have a designated contact person at Indeed yet, you can contact them via their web form and paste the XML feed link there. They will take it from there!

We've also created a dedicated XML feed to be used to share with VONQ, next to a general feed for other purposes.
