Click the Settings icon (gear icon) in the top right corner to open up the job settings.
You'll notice there are several settings displayed in the left-hand sidebar. We'll explain them below.
The different job settings explained
General
When you open the job settings, the General tab is opened by default. You can make the following changes here:
job title
job type
department
location
the URL
add or adjust the closing date
Share settings
When you share your job on social media, you can provide a share image and a title + description. You can use the Share settings of the job to upload a share image and set a description. When you share the job post on social media, this is the title and description that will be shown.
Job boards
In the job boards settings you can add or adjust the following:
You can connect choose whether to include the job in the feed for Indeed and LinkedIn Limited Listings (if you have set up the integration).
You can provide the structured data that is shared with integrations you’ve enabled, like Google for Jobs, LinkedIn Limited Listings and XML feeds for Indeed and VONQ. Your public jobs are automatically scraped by Google and added to Google for Jobs.
This is the structured data you can add:Location
Location type
Base salary currency
Base salary amount, and the option to provide a salary range instead of a fixed salary
Base salary unit: either per hour, day, week, month or year
Confirmation email
After candidates have applied, they'll automatically receive a confirmation email with a copy of their application. There's a default confirmation email, but you can also set a custom confirmation email specifically for this job. We explain more about how this works in our article 'How do I add a custom confirmation email?'.
First reply status
At the 'first reply status' tab you can set a custom first reply reminder for this specific job post. If you've set up a default first reply status, the first reply reminder will automatically show up for a candidate that is still waiting on a first reply after their application.
Hiring stages
In the 'Hiring stages' section, you can adjust the following:
You can specify the different stages a candidate has to go through for this specific job. A new job automatically has the default job stages you've set for your account.
You can add a new stage to your hiring process.
Hiring team
In the 'Hiring team' section you can put together a team of hiring members that will all receive a notification when a new candidate has applied. Hiring team members of a job opening can edit the job post, change job settings, review and communicate with candidates, leave comments, assign to-do’s and create events. For more information on hiring teams, check out 'Managing your team'.
Pause applications
Please note that this feature is deprecated, that means we will not make any changes to it at this point in time, until we have an alternative feature ready.
If you've published your job but decided to hold off on hiring for now, you can pause applications and keep the job active and online. This way candidates can still find your job opening and ask to be notified when you resume hiring. Check out How do I pause applications? for more information.
Hiring stage settings
Below the more general job settings, you'll find the 'Hiring stage' settings where you have settings per stage.
At 'Application', you can decide who needs to review candidate applications and who doesn't.
Per stage you can edit the stage name and add event and scorecard templates. We explain more about the hiring stage settings in our article 'How to set up your hiring stage settings'.
You can add a new stage to your hiring process.
