Note: We've released this special feature in response to COVID-19. If you have more questions about this, check out our COVID-19 Homerun FAQ.

Pausing applications can be turned on for every individual active job opening. How does it work?

  1. Let candidates find you. People are spending more time on their phones and laptops now. Keep the door open to candidates so you can be found, and they can learn more about your job(s).

  2. Build a talent pool without hiring yet. Even though you’re not ready to hire right now, it’s still smart to build a talent pool. Give candidates the opportunity to share their basic info, without applying.

  3. Notify candidates when you’re ready. Whenever you decide to resume hiring for your role(s), just send a notification to an entire pool of talent that’s interested and ready to apply.

Pausing applications is only possible for active jobs, which means you will still be charged €19 per active job opening, per month.

Pausing applications

  1. From the Homerun dashboard, click the Settings icon at the job you want to pause applications for

  2. At the left, click Pause applications, displayed at "Covid-19"

  3. Switch the toggle to pause applications for that job

When you're ready to continue hiring again, simply switch the toggle back again.

As soon as you pause applications for a job, the Apply now button will be replaced by a Notify me button where talent can sign up to be notified when the hiring for that job resumes.

Candidates

Talent and candidates that have signed up to be notified will be shown in the job overview, just like other candidates. Their origin will be "Signed up" which means they've signed up when applications for that job were paused.

Please note:

  • candidates that sign up to be notified will not receive a confirmation email

  • team members in the hiring team will not receive a notification about a new sign up

  • the settings for data retention period in your account will also be applied to candidates that sign up

  • pausing applications is only possible for active jobs, which means you will still be charged €19 per active job opening, per month
