Only the trial and Light plan have limits on candidates and emails. The Basic and Plus plans offer unlimited candidates and emails.

Job slots

Job slots represent the number of active jobs you can have on a specific plan. A job is active when its job state is 'Public', 'Private' or 'Closed'. Draft jobs and Archived jobs do not count as active jobs.

When you have used the maximum amount of job slots available on your plan, you will be prevented from opening a new job unless you close an active job or upgrade to a different plan.

If you downgrade your plan and exceed the number of job slots of that plan, your most recently published jobs will be automatically closed. To see the number of job slots available on your plan, you can have a look at the Plans page within your Homerun account.

Candidate limit

The trial has limit of 100 candidates and the Light plan has a limit of 250 candidates. The Basic and Plus plan offer unlimited candidates.

What is a candidate limit?

A candidate limit indicates the maximum number of candidates you can have in your account, and you cannot exceed this amount. It includes candidates in both active and inactive jobs, as well as those not assigned to any job or in your talent pool.

What happens when I reach my candidate limit?

When you reach 80% of your candidate limit there is a warning notification displayed in Homerun and you'll receive an email about this. This way you’ll be informed in time to ensure you don’t miss out on any candidates!

Once you’ve reached your limit candidates will no longer be able to apply. The 'Apply now' button on your job posts will change into 'Applications closed'.

What should I do when I reach my candidate limit?

You can either delete candidates to free up space or you can upgrade your plan to make sure you can receive an unlimited amount of applications. The Basic plan and Plus plan do not have candidate limits. If you upgrade your plan you can immediately resume hiring.

What happens when I downgrade and I’m exceeding the candidate limit of the plan I’ve downgraded to?

If you downgrade to the Light plan with a candidate limit, all your candidates will be safely stored, even if you’re already over the candidate limit. However, you won’t be able to add any more candidates and you cannot receive new applications. The 'Apply now' button on all your jobs will be changed to 'Applications closed'. To re-open your applications, delete some of your candidates to make sure you’re below the limit.

Email limit

In the trial period you cannot send real emails, but we do offer demo emails to test how the functionality works. On the Light plan, it is limited to 1000 emails per week.

When you’ve reached your email limit, you won’t be able to send any more emails. When you try sending an email while you’ve reached your limit, you’ll be notified the moment you try sending an email. On the Plans page, you will find an alert icon next to ‘emails’, showing you’ve reached your limit. If you upgrade to another plan, you can continue sending emails right away.
