How do I integrate with HoorayHR?

HoorayHR is an HR software solution designed to improve your HR management processes. From employee onboarding and data management to time-off tracking and document storage, HoorayHR simplifies HR administration, allowing you to focus on strategic initiatives and employee engagement.

What does the integration do?

Integrating HoorayHR with Homerun enables a seamless transition from the hiring process to employee onboarding. Candidate information captured in Homerun can be transferred to HoorayHR in a few clicks, eliminating manual data entry and streamlining your onboarding workflow. With HoorayHR's centralized system, you can efficiently manage employee data, including personal information, contracts and documents. The software offers self-service onboarding, time-off management and document storage, empowering employees to access and update their information, request time off and retrieve important documents.

The following data will be transferred (if inputted) from Homerun to HoorayHR:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • E-mail address

  • Job title of the vacancy they were hired for

  • Profile photo

  • Date of birth

  • Phone number

Integrating Homerun with HoorayHR

To activate the integration with HoorayHR, you will need the Homerun API key.

The API key is available in our Plus plan. If you are on our Light or Basic plan and you want to start using the HoorayHR integration, please reach out to our Support team via chat or mail so we can enable the API key for you – free of charge!

Step 1. Generating the Homerun API Key

  1. From anywhere in Homerun, click on your company profile at the top left β†’ Settings

  2. Navigate to Integrations in the left-hand side menu

  3. Scroll all the way down to Homerun API V1

  4. Click the green button Generate V1 API key

  5. Your API V1 key is generated. Click Show V1 API Key

  6. Click Copy to copy the code

  7. Click Done. The next step is using this code and pasting it into HoorayHR.

Step 2. Activating the integration in HoorayHR

Next up is using your Homerun API Key and adding this to your HoorayHR account:

  1. In HoorayHR, go to the Integrations tab

  2. Click on Add integrations

  3. A new tab will then open in your browser, search for Homerun here

  4. Click Homerun and enter the API key

  5. Click on Next

  6. It worked! Hit Done to complete the wizardry ✨

Using the integration: importing new hires

Adding new colleagues from Homerun to HoorayHR can be done in two ways. One option is to automatically import as soon as a colleague is hired and moved to the Hired stage in Homerun. The other way is manually importing new hires into HoorayHR itself. We will explain both options below.

Automated import

From the moment the integration with HoorayHR is activated, only new candidates who were hired after the day of activation are imported. Every night, the system checks whether any new candidates have been hired. If there is a new hire, they will be automatically imported to HoorayHR.

Manual import

In addition to automatically importing new hires in HoorayHR, you can also import them manually:

  1. In HoorayHR, go to Colleagues

  2. Click Add colleague

  3. Next to the Add colleague button, click the down arrow for Import from Homerun

  4. In the list, select which hire to import

  5. Click Import

And you're done! Now you can fill out this colleague's profile with all their remaining information, such as address details and contract dates.
