You can add candidate information more quickly to your account by uploading their resume. Homerun automatically scans the document, extracts key information, and creates a complete candidate profile. From there, you can manage the candidate within the job post.
Navigate to a job > candidates
Via the sidebar on the left, click on a job opening under ‘Your jobs’ or head to the ‘Jobs’ page to navigate to the specific job.
Select ‘Candidates’ in the menu bar at the top.
Click ‘Add candidate’ to create a new candidate.
Uploading a resume
In the candidate creation screen, upload a PDF resume file.
Homerun will scan the resume and extract the relevant information.
Review the extracted details in the candidate profile fields.
Adjust any fields if needed.
Click ‘Save’ to add the candidate to your account.
The uploaded resume will be attached to the candidate profile under ‘Files’, so you always have access to the original document.
What information is extracted?
When you upload a resume, Homerun extracts and fills in:
Contact details (such as email address and phone number).
City and country.
Websites and links.
Work experience.
Education.
A summary of relevant information from the resume.
Any available basic details are added to the ‘Contact’ and ‘About’ sections of the candidate profile. Work history and education are added to the ‘Experience’ and ‘Education’ sections.
Security and privacy
Homerun uses AI to map resume information to the relevant fields in the candidate profile.
The uploaded file is securely stored on our servers.
The data extraction and mapping process happens entirely within Homerun’s infrastructure.
Resume files are not sent to external servers for AI processing.
This ensures candidate information remains safe and private throughout the process.
Good to know
This feature is available for all verified accounts.
Always review and verify the extracted information before saving the candidate profile.
You can edit all fields manually after the candidate has been created.
