FAQ

What happens when I archive a job post?

When you archive a job post, it deactivates and will no longer be visible on your career page. You'll no longer be able to communicate with candidates so, be sure to wrap up the hiring process with each candidate before archiving the job. You'll always be able to search for candidates' contact information though. You can find your archived jobs under the 'Archived' tab:

Why should I archive a job post?

You can archive a job when you’ve hired someone or when you want to open up a slot for another job post. If the position is filled, it makes sense to archive the job promptly to properly notify your team members and get your statistics in order.

What is the difference between an archived job and a closed job?

An archived job and a closed job are not the same! An archived job is an inactive job, but a closed job is still active because you're going through the hiring process with your candidates. Here's a closer look at the difference:

  • A closed job means you've closed the applications for your job and no longer want to receive new applicants. You're ready to schedule interviews with candidates and go through the hiring process with your current batch of candidates. Anyone with the job's URL can still view the job, but the job post will indicate 'Applications closed' instead of 'Apply now'. Because it's still an active job opening, it takes up one job slot.

  • An archived job means you're fully finished hiring and you no longer need to communicate with candidates. An archived job is inactive, meaning it doesn't take up a job slot anymore. Just like a closed job, an archived job is not publicly visible anymore. The URL has also been taken offline and can't be viewed.
