The difference between a yearly and monthly plan mostly lies in the payment structure and the flexibility that comes with it.

Yearly plan

With a yearly plan, you pay for the entire year upfront which comes with a 15% discount compared to the monthly plan. For example, the Basic plan costs €149 on a monthly plan, but if you choose the yearly payment, it breaks down to €129 per month.

When you choose the yearly plan, you cannot cancel it on a monthly basis and there is no option to downgrade before the year is up, which means there is less flexibility compared to the monthly plan: you can upgrade (with immediate effect), but you cannot downgrade. When you schedule a downgrade, this will go into effect once the year is up.

Monthly plan

Monthly plans are slightly higher in price due to the flexibility they offer: you are able to cancel, upgrade (with immediate effect) or downgrade on monthly basis, without having to commit to a full year. When you upgrade your monthly plan, you can schedule a downgrade at the end of your monthly billing cycle.
