These stages are designed to standardize the hiring process, providing consistency across job openings.
Changing the default stages for each future job opening
Click your profile in the top left corner and click 'Settings'.
On the left-hand sidebar, displayed under 'Candidates', click 'Hiring process'.
Here you can:
Change the order of the stages by dragging & dropping
Add a stage by clicking the Add a stage button
Click the x of the stage you want to delete
Any changes will be saved automatically.
Note: The new set of default stages will only affect newly created job openings, not your existing job openings.
Additionally, it is recommended to keep the 'Hired' stage at the end of your hiring process to maintain clear insights, use consistent naming conventions, and add custom stages instead of renaming critical stages.
Changing the stages of a specific job opening
Via the sidebar on the left, click on a job opening under 'Your jobs' or head to the 'Jobs' page to navigate to the specific job where you want to change the hiring stages.
Click the 'Settings' icon in the top right corner.
Then, on the left, click 'Hiring process'.
Here you can:
Change the order of the stages by dragging & dropping
Add a stage by clicking the Add a stage button
Click the x of the stage you want to delete
Any changes will be saved automatically.
Note: We don't want you to break anything by accident, so you'll notice that you cannot delete the stage ‘Hired'. We also recommend you don't rename this stage because it can influence your insights. Renaming the 'Hired' stage can impact system functionality and reporting accuracy, as candidates in this stage will still appear as 'Hired' in reports.
Resolving Common Issues with Hiring Stages
Problem: Candidates are wrongly marked as 'Hired.'
This occurs when the default 'Hired' stage is renamed but not moved or replaced. Since renaming does not change the system's default behavior, any candidates in this stage will still appear as 'Hired' in reports.
Solution:
Rename the stage back to 'Hired.'
Place it at the final position in the process workflow.
For specific needs, create a new custom stage instead of modifying 'Hired.' Follow these steps:
Identify the renamed 'Hired' stage (it is the one without a delete icon).
Reposition and rename it correctly.
Create additional custom stages if needed.
