If you want to get more work done in less time, we've got you covered. In Homerun you can use multiple keyboard shortcuts to streamline the process of managing and reviewing candidates.

Search candidates

A shortcut you can use anywhere in the tool is 'cmd + k' (Mac) or 'CTRL + k' (Windows) to open a global search to search through all candidates.

Navigating between candidate profiles

Press 'j' and 'k' to go back and forth between candidate profiles. From one of the candidate overviews, open up a candidate profile and navigate between profiles pressing j and k.

There are two candidate overviews:

  1. From your Homerun dashboard, navigate to a job and select 'Candidates' to view the job's candidate overview, or go directly to the 'Candidates' page via the sidebar on the left-hand side.

  2. In the candidate overview, you can choose between two views at the top of the overview:

    1. the Candidate board view (first tab, displayed as a dotted square)

    2. the Candidate list view (second tab, displayed as a frame)

Rate candidate profiles

When you are reviewing a candidate's application, assign a star rating to candidate profiles quickly by pressing '1-5'.

Messaging the candidate

Press 'm' to open the candidate message modal. Use 'cmd + Enter' (Mac) or 'CTRL + Enter' (Windows) to send an email to a candidate. Press 'Esc' to close the message modal.

Opening the Application review

Press 'r' to immediately open Application Review on the candidate profile.

Opening the to-dos sidebar

Press 't' to open the to-dos sidebar while you are working in the candidate profile.

Opening the comments sidebar
