Our calendar integration makes it easier than ever to plan interviews and other events directly within the ATS, eliminating the need to switch between tools. We have built an integration powered by Cronofy, a third-party platform that connects multiple calendars and is the foundation for our calendar features. Thanks to this integration, our available calendars are: Google, Office 365, Exchange and Outlook.

Before we explain how to connect your Calendar to Homerun, there's a few things that you need to know:

  1. Shared visibility for team scheduling
When you connect your calendar, your availability becomes visible to all users in the product when they are booking events. This helps your team find open time slots for interviews or other collaborative activities.

  2. Privacy settings are respected
We respect your calendar’s privacy settings:

    1. If an event is marked as private in your calendar, it will only display as “Busy” without revealing details like event titles or descriptions.

    2. Public or non-private events will show their titles to team members booking events.Your data remains secure and only the necessary information is shared to make scheduling easy.

  3. Connecting your calendar is required for visibility
To view a team member’s availability in the calendar, they must first connect their calendar in their personal settings. If a calendar isn’t connected, their availability won’t appear in the scheduling interface.

How to connect and use your Google or Microsoft Calendar for seamless event scheduling

  1. From anywhere in the tool, click Settings in the sidebar

  2. Click Calendars in the sidebar

  3. Click your preferred calendar account

  4. Agree to the Cronofy Terms & Service and Privacy Policy, and click Link Google account or Link Microsoft account (depending on your provider). From here, you’ll be prompted to log into your account and grant access to your calendar.

You can now start creating events that will automatically show up in your calendar.

The calendar you’ve connected will be your default calendar for events. Besides that, when creating a new event within a candidate profile, it’s possible to select your preferred calendar in the dropdown menu:
