You might see some of your jobs appear on job boards such as Indeed or LinkedIn even if you haven't set up a connection via LinkedIn Limited Listings or with the XML feed for Indeed.

The reason this happens is because some job boards actively "scrape" websites for job openings. Scraping is the extraction of data from a website โ€“ meaning they might extract public jobs from your career page and place them on their job board. Jobs that are privately published and jobs that are in draft (unpublished) cannot be scraped. However, once job is published publicly, job boards may scrape them.

Unfortunately, we can't entirely prevent job boards from scraping and posting your jobs. If you don't want them to scrape your jobs, we recommend reaching out to these job boards directly and request they remove the jobs from their website. You can contact Indeed here, and LinkedIn provides some information via their article to opt out of basic jobs on LinkedIn.

How to check if you have a connection set up with LinkedIn or Indeed

If you're unsure whether you have set up an integration with LinkedIn or Indeed, go to Settings and follow these steps:

  1. From the sidebar on the left, head over to the Integrations page.

  2. Scroll down until you reach the 'Job boards' section.

  3. If the integration is enabled, it will say Enabled at the right:

Note: You can disable the integration, but this won't stop job boards from scraping your jobs.

If you have set up a connection with LinkedIn or Indeed, you can disable the connection for each job separately via the Job settings (the gear icon in the top right corner). This will ensure these jobs are not posted by the job board you have connected with.

Make sure all toggles under Job boards are turned off, as shown in the screenshot below:

If you still find that certain jobs get posted even though you have disabled the connection, we recommend reaching out to the job board directly as mentioned above.
