If you'd like to change the title of your job post, there are a few places that will need your attention:

  • First, there's the title (heading 1) in the job post, the page visible to candidates, which you can change in the Editor of the job post

  • Second, there's the title of the job opening, visible at Jobs in your account

  • Third, there's the URL (slug) of the job post (often similar to the title)

  • Lastly, you can improve the SEO for job posts โ€” which includes the job title โ€” of every job post.

Below, we'll walk you through it step by step.

Step 1: Changing the title of the job post in the editor

  1. From anywhere in the tool, click Jobs in the sidebar

  2. Click on the job you would like to change the title for. Make sure you are in the Live editor of the Job post

  3. Change the title of your job post in the text and click Save or immediately Publish your changes.

Step 2: Changing the title of the job opening in the settings

To change the title of the job post, follow these steps:

  1. From anywhere in the tool, click Jobs in the sidebar and click on the job you would like to change the title for

  2. Click on the Job settings (gear icon) in the top right corner

  3. At General, change the Job title in the Job details section. You may also choose to change the URL to match the new job title.

  4. Click Save changes.

Step 3: Changing the URL (slug) in the settings

  1. From anywhere in the tool, click Jobs in the sidebar and click on the job you would like to change the URL for

  2. Click on the Job settings (gear icon) in the top right corner

  3. At General, change the URL in the Job details section

  4. Click Save changes.

The URL is now changed. Don't worry, the old URL will still work and is redirected to your pretty, new URL.

Step 4: Improve SEO for job posts

  1. From anywhere in the tool, click Jobs in the sidebar and click on the job you would like to optimize the SEO information for

  2. Click on the Job settings (gear icon) in the top right corner

  3. On the left, click Share settings

  4. Adjust the SEO title (Title) and meta description (Description) under Social sharing

  5. Click Save changes.

Note: If you've added a share image with the job title in it, don't forget to change your share image as well.
