How to connect your calendar with Google or Microsoft

Easily integrate your Google or Office 365, Exchange or Outlook calendar with Homerun to keep track of your events

This feature is available in our Light, Basic and Plus plan.

Connecting Google Calendar to Homerun

1. From anywhere in the tool, click Settings in the sidebar

2. Click Calendars or Integrations in the sidebar

3. Click Google

4. Click Link Google account. From here, you’ll be prompted to log into your Google account and grant access to your calendar:

You can now start creating events that will automatically show up in your Google calendar.

Connecting Microsoft to Homerun

1. From anywhere in the tool, click Settings in the sidebar

2. Click Calendars or Integrations in the sidebar

3. Click your preferred Microsoft calendar

4. Click Link Microsoft account. From here, you’ll be prompted to log into your agenda and grant access to your calendar:

You can now start creating events that will automatically show up in your Microsoft calendar.

The calendar you’ve connected will be your default calendar for events. Besides that, when creating a new event within a candidate profile, it’s possible to select your preferred calendar in the dropdown menu:

How changes to events are reflected in your calendar

Note: if an event is set up with the integration, it can only be edited by users that also have set up their calendar feature ánd have access to the same calendar that the event was created in.

Changing event details

Changes made to your events—such as date, time, duration, or cancellation—within Homerun and the calendar will sync with each other, reflecting updates in both platforms.

Moving events to a different calendar

1. From anywhere in the tool, click Settings in the sidebar

2. Click Calendars in the Personal section

3. Change calendar at Default calendar

Note: The organizer of the event is the only person who can move the event to a different calendar after the event has been created. If the organizer moves the event to a different calendar, attendees won’t receive any notifications. However, attendees can still view the event without the ability to make changes. The organizer will always have access to the event, except if they lose access to the calendar it's attached to. This situation may occur if a colleague revokes the organizer's access to a calendar they were previously part of.

Deleting the calendar integration

1. From anywhere in the tool, click Settings in the sidebar

2. Click Calendars in the Personal section

3. Click Disconnect account:

The calendar integration has now been deleted. Good to know is that if the organizer of an event decides to remove/delete the integration, the event will still be visible in the calendar, but updates will not be reflected in the calendar anymore.
